Terrace is on the west coast of British Columbia about 100 miles from the coast. Although we are only halfway up the province, anything north of Vancouver is considered "northern BC". This is like the way it is in Massachusetts; anything more than 25 miles from Boston is "western Mass."
Here we have zoomed in on the city of Terrace and the area to the east of it. The red rectangle is what you will see in the next picture and the yellow oval is Thornhill Mountain. You can see pictures of the mountain HERE.

Now you can clearly see the city of Terrace on the north side of the river. The village of Thornhill is on the right side of the picture where the river bends up to the north. The blue rectangle is what you'll see in the next zoom.
Here we are focusing on the part of Thornhill where our neighbourhood is. The two bridges on the left cross the river from Terrace and the green rectangle is where our house is (see the next picture).
And finally, the red arrow points to our house at 3723 River Drive. When you look out our front window you would be looking in the opposite direction of the arrow and you would see the face of the northwestern end of Thornhill mountain. It looks like THIS.
