Cultivating Asparagus

     The above illustration shows the Rear view of the John Deere Two-row Tractor-mounted Cultivator. See how there are two spring teeth mounted behind each rear wheel. This removes the wheel-track from the row as you cultivate.

Cultivating Asparagus


    See how the rear tires straddle two rows of the crop. The rows of asparagus are planted so far apart, that I have ALL of the tines between the rows. I am actually using the machine as a one-row cultivator. The rear tines suffice to cultivate the outside of the rows, but they don't go anywhere near halfway to the next row. So, you really have to cultivate between each row.
