Raking hay

Raking Hay

The rake can be adjusted for height independently at each end, and the gears can be disconnected from the wheels for transport purposes. But neither adjustment can be made from the tractor seat. The machine is HUGE! It is ten feet wide, twelve feet long, and weighs 1000 pounds! Transporting it can be a problem because it is too wide to fit through some of my gates, and to travel down my little road between the stone walls.

Raking

The rake does a remarkable job of cleaning up all of the hay. It can also be used to turn over the windrows to dry out again, after they have been rained on. (This hardly ever happens, right?). What is even MORE remarkable about this machine is how good a job it does when you consider how OLD the thing is! What a marvelous toy!
